Save Magnuson Community Center!

On September 12th, Mayor McGinn announced his new Seattle Parks & Recreation Community Center 2012 budget plan which is bad news for residents of NE Seattle.  His proposal is to cut the center’s hours from 50 per week down to 15-25 hours per week, which means a cut of staff and programs.

Magnuson Community Center offers a plethera of activities including basketball camps, nature programs, and environmental projects.  Not to mention special event that go on year round such as, The Summer Concert Series, Bikemania, Fall Harvest Celebration, and the Christmas Ship Celebration.
